01 Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how StockRes ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit stockres.com or interact with our services.
StockRes is currently under development. At this stage, the website is a single informational landing page and the only personal data we intentionally collect is the email address you voluntarily submit through the "Notify me" form.
02 What we collect
Information you provide
- Email address — when you sign up for launch notifications.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, and the date/time of your submission. This is recorded alongside your email in our subscriber log to help us detect abuse and understand where our visitors come from.
- Server logs — standard web-server access logs (IP, request path, timestamp, response code). Retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
03 How we use it
- To send you a single email when StockRes launches (or, at most, occasional important updates if you opt in).
- To maintain a record of consent for compliance purposes.
- To detect spam, abuse, or automated submissions.
- To respond to your enquiries if you contact us.
We will never sell, rent, or trade your email address or any other personal data to third parties.
04 Legal basis
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we process your email address on the basis of consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you provide it voluntarily and may withdraw it at any time. Technical logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in securing the website.
Where other applicable data-protection laws apply, we process personal data on the basis of your consent and for the purposes stated in this policy, in accordance with the relevant local regulations.
07 How long we keep it
- Subscriber log — retained until StockRes launches and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to delete your entry.
- Server logs — typically up to 90 days, unless a longer period is required for security investigations.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
08 Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
- Withdraw consent at any time — you can unsubscribe from any email with one click.
- Object to processing or request restriction.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
09 Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data you share with us. Connections to the site are encrypted (HTTPS), log files are stored with restricted permissions and are not publicly accessible, and access to them is limited to the site operator.
That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you suspect your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
10 Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we release new features or when the legal environment changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revision. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
